"THE MILL" MENTORED PROJECTS

At SCAD with THE MILL, NEW YORK | Fall 2017

This is my progress blog for collaborative projects with TECH 420 Compositing class taught by Professor Bridget Gaynor and Mentored projects with lead artists from The Mill, New York. Todd Akita, Effects Supervisor, will be  mentor me and my fx peer students along with our professor Deborah Fowler. I'm really excited about this awesome opportunity and I'm so ready to work with everyone!

" THE BALL" PROJECT  | OUR FIRST EXERCISE 

This will be a very simple exercise for us to learn how to collaborate in a team while gaining experience for our skills and nail down basic knowledge, which on my side will be

particles, rigid body, and pyro effects in Houdini.

​

The scene of our choice will be an environment that we can see a ball rolling into the shot and fall onto the ground then breaking up into pieces with a small dust explosion effect.

​

I'm paired with Sonali Dutta who will be in charge of compositing, lighting, rendering

to bring all those beautiful stuff to the scene while I'll be creating effects part.
